The Red Sea Is the Reason People Come to Hurghada

The reef here is one of the healthiest coral systems left on earth, and it starts close enough to shore that a snorkeller with no experience can see it properly on the first stop. Our sea excursions cover the range: swimming with wild dolphins, full days on the white sand of Orange Bay and Hula Hula, the quieter and more comfortable Eden Island, and a glass-bottom boat for anyone who wants the reef without getting in the water.

Every boat trip includes hotel pickup and drop-off, snorkelling equipment, lunch on board or on the island, soft drinks through the day, and the marine park fees — the fees are the thing cheaper operators leave out and collect from you at the jetty. Children pay less. If the sea is too rough to sail safely we cancel and move you to another day at no cost, because putting a boat out in bad water to protect a booking is not a trade we are willing to make.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the dolphins wild, and will we definitely see them?

They are wild dolphins in open water, not captive animals in a pool. That also means sightings are very common but never guaranteed — anyone who promises you dolphins is lying to you. In practice most trips find them, and the boat goes to the areas where the pods are known to be that week.

Can I join if I cannot swim?

Yes. Life jackets are on board in every size and the snorkelling stops are supervised, so plenty of non-swimmers float and watch the reef perfectly happily. If you would rather stay dry altogether, the glass-bottom boat shows you the coral through the hull without getting in at all.

Is lunch and snorkelling gear included?

Yes — mask, snorkel and fins, lunch, soft drinks through the day and the marine park entry fees are all in the price. Bring swimwear, a towel, sunglasses and sun cream. Reef-safe sun cream if you have it: the coral is what you came for.
