The Eastern Desert starts a few kilometres behind the hotel strip, and it changes completely once the light goes low. Our safaris run in the late afternoon so that you are out on the sand for the sunset rather than in the middle of the day, when the heat flattens everything and the photographs come out white. Depending on the tour you pick, you ride a quad across open desert and mountain tracks, take a 4x4 jeep over the dunes, or go out on horseback — and every one of them ends at a Bedouin camp.
We run the private tours with your group only. That is not a marketing line: it means no waiting for a coach to fill up, no convoy of forty quads eating each other's dust, and a pickup time set around your hotel rather than around the bus route. Our guides speak German and English, all the equipment — quad, scarf, goggles — is included, and you pay nothing until the day itself. Message us on WhatsApp with your group size and we will tell you which safari actually suits you.
No. Every safari starts with a full safety briefing and a practice ride on flat ground before you go anywhere. Most of our guests have never sat on a quad before. If you would rather not drive at all, you can ride as a passenger, and children ride with a parent.
On a private safari the tour runs with your group alone: your own vehicle, your own guide, and a pickup time built around your hotel. On the Super Safari you join a larger group, which is why it works well for families who want the whole programme — jeep, quad, camel, dinner and shows — in one day. Both include hotel transfers.
Comfortable clothes, closed shoes, sunglasses and sun cream. Bring a camera. The desert gets cold quickly once the sun is down, so a light jacket is worth having in winter. The quad, the Bedouin scarf and the goggles are provided free.
